Early museums began as the private collections of wealthy individuals, families or institutions of art and rare or curious natural objects, therefore enhancing and securing these treasures is of utmost importance. We take time and careful consideration when planning such refurbishments to historic houses. These may be buildings of special architectural interest, the birthplace or home of a famous person, or a house with an interesting history.
Whilst updating the area it is vital that existing décor is restored to its original state and works are completed with minimum disruption. A need to store artifacts and paintings securely creates demands on working budgets and is a challenge for museums and galleries. We can manufacture bespoke storage and display cabinets to suit the objects or works of art to be protected.
Bass Museum Project:

The National Brewery Centre (formerly the Bass Museum) is a world-class museum and visitor centre which commemorates our brewing heritage.
Part of the site displays the early horse-drawn drays, through to more modern-day vehicles to transport you back to a bygone era |
|
when the brewing industry revolutionised brewing techniques throughout the world.
There are hundreds of exhibits and rare artefacts on display, and this is reflected in the gift shop where a wide-range of gifts, sweets and beers are displayed in units which have been designed and built to |
|
blend with this historic building, whilst allowing to operate as a modern retail outlet.
The units were designed to reveal the character of this historic building and enhance the existing surrounds giving a light but traditional feel. |
